Wednesday NOT My Craft-Update!
~~~~~
I stopped by a vendor that had beautiful blankets and crochet items up for sale. There were so many that caught my eye, but being one with a hook addiction myself, I tend to not buy from others that sell what I can make myself. However, this woman had such unique and unusual things and I couldn't resist this 4th of July themed star she crocheted. The holiday has passed us by, but really I like to keep a bit of the red, white, and blue all through out July. Why not?
A Little More Spray Paint Love
I think the spray paint has gotten to my head. I'm loving it so much I keep finding more things to update! The first picture is of a ladder that I found at a garage sale that was extremely ugly, but I knew it had some beauty in it somewhere. And it turned out perfect to use as a little side table.
This shelf thing-y was in my Grandparent's home, and I have had it for many years. However, a few years ago we re-stained it to update the color, and the staining was not done very well. I had put it in the garage sale to get rid of it, as I really had no more use for it. Now, I'm kinda glad it didn't sell! Most of our framed photos are downstairs in our spare bedroom and I wanted to be able to have some upstairs, and now we do! Including, if you notice, some very stylish art work from one little babe named Fritz.
Starting Something New That Is Old
~~~~~~~~~~
The above photo is one of my most recent pictures. Flowers from the Hubs for missing me. I had it printed into a 16x20 and framed it myself. It is now hanging above our kitchen table. I'm in love!!!!

A Tiny Buying Frenzy
=======
I bought a new blanket for the back of the couch and a lamp shade to match. We found some serious money-off tree photos for a wall that I used the original photos to decorate Fritz's room with. The wall was looking empty but the Hubs and I have serious opposite tastes when it comes to decorating. Luckily we both liked these ones!
=======
That is part of the re-decorating-new-color-scheme thing for me, the different tastes of me and the Hubs. I realized that I was decorating the house in colors that we both liked, but the items or knick-knacks, if you will, were not my 'taste'. Not true to how I like to express myself with my surroundings. And since I am here with Fritz almost 24/7, I decided screw it!!!! I'm going to decorate the damn house to more of my liking! But, I am also not completely throwing my Hubs ideas out the window. I am still letting him help with some of the things. ;)
=======
Anywho, the house is feeling much more me. With new rugs in the kitchen and some items awaiting from a seller on Etsy, I am very excited with my house now.

Wednesday Craft? Update
I have had two plain stools for the past ten years, and every one of those years I have wanted to make them a bit... prettier. But I also wanted to give them that splash of unexpected color. You see, I'm an Autumn girl. Dark rich colors consume my life. Now it's time to add that brightness here and there.

Friendly Neighbors
-------
Next to my Mother's car were a few deer searching for food. These weren't the only ones either. Across the road there were about seven more. I think we counted eleven or twelve in all.
-------
Being a Montana girl born and raised, this isn't really that surprising. Even at our house in Bozeman, during the winter months, we would usually see a couple deer walking through our yard to the little creek across the street. I remember lots of times growing up where my Dad would chase the hungry deer away from our apple trees. And since our new house is close to some hills, I knew we would be seeing the quiet animals sometimes, but not this much!! Every day I see them wandering around. I just hope that is all of the type of critters we will get. I'm not much fond of bears...
