Sundays with Fritz-The Case of My Crazy Mom

Let me tell ya folks, my Mommy has become CRAZY the past two days. She keeps yelling at the TV a lot and jumping up and down. Especially on last Saturday night when she said something about watching her "boyfriend" Apolo on the tube. I'm not too sure what Daddy thinks about that!

Enjoy the Vancouver 2010 Olympics everybody!

I Am A Freak.... Seriously

About the Winter Olympics! I am crazy, freaky, and just plain nuts when the games are on. Glued to the Tube, lets say. Especially when my boyfriend Apollo Anton Ohno is skating. Although, he is in denial about our relationship. Hmm... only because it is a one sided relationship. ;) But luckily enough, now I can drool tomorrow when I can see him win more medals.
-----------
When I was a little girl, watching the pretty girls in figure skating, they completely inspired me. I never thought I would go the skating route, as anybody who has been unlucky enough to see me skate knows I should never go near ice skates, but seeing the athletes in any sport and their dedication is truly amazing.

Good luck to all the athletes that are in Vancouver !

Woot! Woot! Vacation is Coming Soon!

Soon, Fritz and I will be off for a two week vacation to visit my sister and her family in Pittsburgh, PA. My 30th birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks, so my very wonderful, kind parents bought me a plane ticket for the journey. They will be coming with me as well, but will have a separate adventure for a few days in Virginia.
----------
It will be such a great time to catch up with my sister and to see how big my little nephew has gotten! Fritz is mostly excited that he will be able to play with my sisters step son as they are pretty close to the same age. The last time that the step son was here in MT, Fritz wasn't even born yet!
----------
And of course... my sister has BIG plans for the night of my 30th. Can we say bar time??

Sundays with Fritz-The Case of the Tasty Snow

What's this white stuff I got here in my hand??
I think I need to give it a taste just to make sure it's something fun to play with.

Ooooh burr! Whatever it is, it sure is cold!

Fritz... signing off. Have a nice day!

Just One Night

I stepped outside to breathe in some fresh winter air one evening last week, and was stopped short by the reflections surrounding me. Thousand upon thousands of tiny glittery diamonds were shouting at me leaving me completely mesmerized.
----------
Under the watchful moon, the snow dazzled with its simplicity in the full light of darkness. For those brief few moments, a calm peace surrounded me to know that beauty is still out there. It's just waiting for us to seek it out...

Seriously...

Caldwell person ---- if this is not who I think it is I apologize, but I must do a bit of a rant now if it is.

If this is a particular person from my past, stop looking at my blog all the frickin' time. It's been six years dude... get over it.

Once again....

I'm hoping that with a little bit more time, the normal life will begin again... seems like I am at this post again.

Big questions in life.... on how to make my future right for me, not just my son, but me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

P.S. Who is the Caldwell person? Leave a comment with your name, although I think I know who you are.

Getting Ready

This Christmas will be much different from last year. As the picture above shows, my little wee one was a teeny tiny babe at this time last year. Things were more quiet. A few coos here and there, smiles and attempts to roll over...

Now? Santa is a scaaaary man, and Fritz wants nothing to do with him. The tree seems to be missing ornaments occasionally throughout the day. Presents are safely stored in a closet until Christmas morning. And I'm sure the wrapping paper will be in many more pieces than last years.

But yes, I am excited for next Friday. Because I'm sure that next Christmas will be quiet again, right??

The Followers

I go downstairs, they come downstairs. I go back upstairs, they come back upstairs. Off to bed for a nap, snuggle, snuggle, snuggle. Living room couch for some reading, yep you guessed it. Especially Melba (pictured in the middle) she's the worst one of the bunch!

Of The Early Morning Dawn

Fritzy woke me up early one morning. I guess he got too much good sleep and decided it was time for play. Fuzzy darkness was still creeping around my bedroom, but one peek out the back porch window and my breath caught. Luckily for me this is quite unusual to have my son wake so early, and it has been quite some time for me to catch the morning light peeking slowly out. The shades of pink and later, orange, filled the entire sky. Usually it's the sunset that Fritz and I will see, but on this day it was extra special to break our fast at peaceful misty colors.

Wednesday Craft Update - The Second Fair

Last weekend in my hometown, I had my second craft fair to attend to. My father and I shared two spaces to sell our wonderful things. With rocks, and cribbage boards made out of antlers, and jewelry mixed in-between, we had a beautiful presentation. It was a great day to talk with people I haven't seen for awhile and to hang out with my Dad.
--------------
A few pieces of jewelry (bracelets and neklaces) sold, and even better, eleven scarves too! I guess it makes it easier to sell them when it is frigidly cold outside. But the funniest part to me was at home, counting out the money and realizing that my Dad and I had made the exact same amount of money!!

Ta-Da!

Here is my new craft. Bracelets! I'm a wee bit addicted now. Maybe because I got so burnt out on scarves?? Nah....
-------
There is a bit of a blue theme going on. But that is only because my bead selection is quite low. I have plans to go to town this weekend to some of the hobby shops to get more. Who knows what those ones will look like!?!? I am pretty darn excited about it though.

An Adventure Under Candlelight

Last week I heard a small boom outside and a second later all was dark. It was seven p.m. and trying to find candles while not tripping over toys was pretty comical. I had a few to light that were in my kitchen but alas... the rest were still packed in a box in a closet! A half hour later there were 35 flickering lights letting Fritz and me have a romantic evening together.
---------
After Fritz was put to bed I questioned what to do with my time of no power. So many wonderful things I could think of! Christmas cards to be addressed and written, or reading by soft glowing light. Instead I decided to try a new craft. Not that I really need a new craft, but what the heck.
----------
Hopefully tomorrow I will post a picture of what I have been up to for the past week. I hear Fritz calling me, or rather coughing to me. Both of us are sick with a nasty cold that has lasted almost a week. But unless we are too sick to get out of bed tomorrow, I will post. Promise.
