Still feeling it.

That crafty little bug has bit me hard. I've made (almost) 3 cowl scarfs to put in my shop this weekend, well hopefully today. But I am also getting ready for that first run of my new sewing machine! I acquired some Christmas-y fabric a few years ago, always intending to make a runner for my dinning room table, and by golly and all the holly I think I might finally get to it!!

And I have finally added some scarfs to my shop! My model plans fell through so I had to get inventive. But pictures are taken, now if my camera could stop acting wonky...

Wednesday Craft Update-99th Post Giveaway!

This giveaway is closed!

I knew that my 100th post would be sometime this week so I wanted to do a giveaway for you all on this Wednesday Craft Update! We'll get to that in a moment, but first...

A craft store at our local mall was having another one of their awesome store-wide sales! I could have spent all day and a ton of money there, but limited myself to a few awesome things. Above is some new yarn that caught my eye. I do love bold, bright colors, but my true love is more natural/fall colors. With these I think I am going to make myself a scarf. I haven't made one for myself in a long time, so I think it is time!

They also had their fat quarters on sale, so I grabbed up 15 of them to continue my collection to some day make a quilt (or handbags?).

And... I finally finished the silly purple waffle scarf! Seems like it took me forever!
------------
Now on to the giveaway! I will send one of you lucky peoples a scarf of your very own! You can pick any of the ones that I have posted about, or if none of those suit your style let me know and I will see if there is some of the ones not posted that would fit the winner better. I will keep the giveaway open until Sunday for Sundays with Fritz, as I will let him (try to get him to) pick a winner! So let all of your friends know and don't forget to leave a comment to add your name to hopefully be chosen!
------------
Good Luck!

Wednesday Craft Update

With Fritz and his little helper hands, the aqua blue scarf is finished! I counted all that are done and boxed up and I now have 28 completed scarves. Definitely on my way to the 50 I wanted to have done for the festival in September. I haven't started on a new one yet, but should be today.

When I was in my hometown last weekend, my Mother and I took Fritz on a walk around the town. We stopped at store that is dedicated to the crafters in the town. They sell all their homemade goodies and it was truly beautiful! I had taken some pictures of the beautiful display of bolts of gorgeous fabric, but alas... I accidentally erased all of my pictures from the weekend at home! I was so sad as I had some really cute ones of Fritz and a picture intended for the post tomorrow. I will have to find a replacement to explain the post!

When we were at the craft store, I saw a clearance bin for some fat quarters of fabric. They were so cheap I couldn't pass them up. I have been wanting to make another quilt for a long time but do not have all of the necessary tools (sewing machine still broken!) but I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up. So I will store these finds until I can start on the quilt sometime in the future!
