Sundays with Fritz-The Case of the Rushing River (One Year Ago)

Mommy told me that I needed to post a picture from me a year ago. This picture of my Daddy and me would be one year ago tomorrow. Close enough I say!
=======
We took a drive to see how fast the Gallatin river was flowing from Spring run-off and to just have a good 'ol fun day driving around. The sun was nice and warm and the mountain air was crisp and fresh, but man was it loud there! That river was so fast and furious!
=======
Mommy said she liked to look at the old pictures of me as she thinks I was just the cutest little thing. Although I think I'm much cuter now...

Wednesday Craft? Update

I have had two plain stools for the past ten years, and every one of those years I have wanted to make them a bit... prettier. But I also wanted to give them that splash of unexpected color. You see, I'm an Autumn girl. Dark rich colors consume my life. Now it's time to add that brightness here and there.

I'm loving it. And have plans for a few more color changes in my life. So it is kinda crafty right?

30 Years and (almost) 3 Months

That's how far I got before finally breaking a bone. Yep, a wall jumped out and attacked my pinkie toe. Now, I'm hobbling around and not being able to chase Fritz around the house. Hopefully soon it will be healed!

Sundays with Fritz-The Case of the Ketchup Packet

Mommy just recently let me discover this new and exciting thing! Well, to her credit, I was not really interested in condiments until a few weeks ago. Now I love to dip my fingers in it for fun tasty surprises! My new favorite is ketchup. Mommy doesn't understand why I don't love mustard as much as she does as I am lovin' the red stuff better!
---------
Well.... I better dash. I have to get a good nights sleep so I am ready to help Mommy all day long. I think she said she will post about that tomorrow.
---------
Good night all!

A Lovely Saturday

There was a free day at the local Zoo this past Saturday, and with the weather being so beautifully perfect, we couldn't resist! Fritz had lots of fun seeing different animals, and the Hubs and I had just as much fun walking around and looking at the blooming world around us.
======
The Zoo is well kept and has many wonderful paths leading to the different sections of the park. With it being a free day, of course, there were many people waking about, so it was amazing that I found one path that was absent in other voices and footsteps.
To me, peacocks are one of the most amazing, beautiful creatures out there!
Red pandas.... so cute!

Ahhh. Smell the sweetness.

Fritz giggled at the Billy Goat.

Sundays with Fritz-The Case of the Ice Cream Drips

You should have seen me when I was all done!!! Hahahaha! Mommy said she was going to have fun trying to get all of the gooey ice cream out of my clothes and the deck. Man, it sure was tasty though, and Momma? Can we do this every weekend??
Fritz.... signing off with a nice belly full of goodness.

Beauty

In all things beauty is meant to be had.
In the beauty of the flower...
A birth from the sun warming the
Spring and smelling sweet with
its life of color, given to those who pass.
In the beauty of the wind...
The power and strength flowing
in the gentleness of life and death,
reaching an extent of pure respect.
In the beauty of the night...
The darkness of dreams in a peace of
twinkling stars. The slumber and awakening to a new
beginning and the reality of the heavens being near.
In the beauty of life...
An experience of reaching the
roads of travel through the unknown and
finding the person you are meant to be.

Garage Sale Fun

Once a year, my hometown has a town-wide garage sale day where around 30 households have sales! It's a big event that draws in people from other towns as well. My parents participate every year and although it is quite a lot of work (my parents have a TON of stuff to sell) we always end up having a lot of fun. This year I had planned on not going to any other sale as I really didn't want to take home more stuff than I had brought, but... I just couldn't resist one sale.

A lovely large light aqua blue glass bowl. For only 25 cents!

This fabric is of curtains. I have no use for curtains currently, but could not pass up the lovely red stitching. I'll change this into something sometime soon!

A glass candy dish. My mother has one of these that she would always bring out for Christmas and fill it full of Christmas candy goodies. I have wanted one for a long time, but never have been able to find one. Who would have thought it would be one of her neighbors who had one!

A few hankies. Again I want to turn these into something fabulous, but what? Hmm.. I have no idea yet!

Wednesday Craft Update-Bead Fair Good Times

This past weekend there was a bead fair at one of the hotels in our city. Fritz, the Hubs and I all went to check out what they had to sell. Man oh man I could have spent all day there! But of course, I don't have a million dollars to spend and the prices were not all that different from the bead stores that I go to here. It did allow me to salivate, though, with possibilities of jewelery to come, and I did allow myself a small basket of purchases. So, we will see what I come up with with those new beads!
=======
One of the funny parts of the bead fair was, while I was searching through piles and piles of gorgeous colors of beads, I was playing tag-your-it with an older lady who had on waaaaay too much older lady perfume! I nearly choked multiple times when she kept coming up right next to me to look at the same containers I was. I was laughing on my way out as it was funny to me (and I know to a lot of people) that, how do these people not get it that they stink? Although, she did help me to spend not as much money. Only because I had to get away from her!
=======
I finished a scarf last night and another crochet brooch. I will post pictures next week, but I am excited to show the new scarf especially as it is something different that I have never done before! Hmmm... I might actually have the second one finished by then too. We'll see!
=======
Have a crafty week!
=======
P.S. I added a Mini Etsy to the side of my blog. Do you like it? It's cute isn't it!!!

A Little Music Love

I heart this man.... ahhh... he is so dreamy and such a good musician! Early Sunday afternoon, a friend of mine called to tell me that she had an extra ticket to see Gary Allan that night. The Hubs and I had wanted to go but didn't have the extra budget for two pricey tickets. But, one ticket isn't that bad!!! What a fun night it was, with laughter, friends, and good music! Hopefully, this coming summer I can go to a few more of my favorites that will be in town. Finger Eleven is next on my list!

Sundays with Fritz-The Case of the Wind in the Hair

Hi peoples!!! Well, I almost blew away this week! Mommy and I played outside for a little bit the other day when it was warmer, and she told me that it was starting to get really windy out! The wind grew and grew even more that we finally came inside so I wouldn't blow away (literally it could have happened one of the next days!).
Fritz... signing off. Going to go find a brush for my hair!
